    Sellers description:
    JAGUAR/XK 120 FHC
This stunning left hand drive car was built in 1953 and is an original matching numbers car fitted with the desirable 180bhp. 3.442 cc engine.
This car has been the subject of extensive body off restoration works , commenced in 1997. The history file is substantial & includes
Dated invoices for multiple parts with photographic records & multiple m.o.t's verifying the many years mileage of just 33.000 since 1997.
The car has come to us in February this year as a car very sound, with continuous more recent history from a renown Marque specialist. However in February this XK ! some way from its potential and now: *fabulous condition.
Recent weeks have seen a full re-spray,engine removed & extensively detailed, all ancillary components serviced or replaced, Radiator & cooling completely overhauled, and all linkages , Rockers and Aluminium castings polished prior to re-assembly with new Gaskets, hoses ,clips etc.The resultant engine bay detailing quite possibly our best ever & has included the fitment of freshly enamel d exhaust Manifolds, in as original Gloss Black Virtuous Enamel.
A full rolling road set up, brings this car, to now be one of the very best Drivers cars.In original Colour
Dark racing Green, with new matching Wire wheels, its a stunning example of the Iconic XK120 fhc. A beautiful light Cream interior, benefiting from the earlier restoration with a now 10 year aged Patina completes a fabulous car , eligible for many of Europe's finest events. The car is equipped with a slave Coil & bespoke Aluminium Plug Rack plus a discreet FIA front Towing Eye absolutely ready to participate in any one of the seasonal Rallies & fully prepared by ourselves here in Suffolk.
Events are such an important part of a world of shared classic car experiences & await a doubtless very proud new owner. The car in original left hand drive is the perfect specification for Continental touring, or simply a boys weekend to Le Mans, as a hilight of varied future use.
This car drives superbly , the original 180 bhp engine superbly responsive, the Moss box slotting exactly as it should, to reward the discerning mastery that comes from time spent with these Iconic XK's. As a Classic to enjoy with proven Provenance and excellent investment credentials this car is one of the best & arguably more rewarding to drive than an Aston DB2. I suspect the 1st person to come face to face with this car, will have no hesitation to own it! A simply superb XK fixed head & I cannot recommend highly enough ,a very early viewing.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
