Completion Date and Dispatch Date: “Chassis 679001 through 681485 were XK 120 FHC LHD built between March 1951 to Sept. 1954. The car is 472 cars from the end of the XK120’s run, which was serial number 681485 this leads me to believe it was built in Aug. or Sept of 1954. A total of 1,730 were built plus 753 SE models. 681241 and 681242 FHC chassis numbers were not used. An “S” prefix means Special Equipment. (NOTE: This car’s serial number fits within the proper group.)
Factory Modifications: SE Model (known as XK120M in the USA) was given a power boost from 160 hp to 180bhp using high lift camshaft with a 3/8in lift, special crankshaft damper, lightened flywheel, dual exhaust (OTS only), stiffer rear springs, and 1 inch torsion bars. Wire wheels in body color, silver or chrome with knockoff hub caps and two fog lamps were fitted as standard, as was overdrive.
Factory Extras: SE upgrade, $395.00 option.
Previous Owners: June 18, 1973: Kenneth R. Evans, Carlisle, Mass. It was then sold to a Broker for John Fredette, Jamestown, RI, and then to an Agent: Ray Antcky. Then it passed through the midwest hands of Appraiser: Lou Trepanier, an agent for a Dr. Peter P. Scadron, Lake Forest, IL. On May 18, 1991 Tony & Judith Price, Minneapolis, MN, bought the car. On Sept. 5, 1998 to Mark & Pam Atkinson, Chetek, WI, purchased the car, fully rusted out but in drivable condition. On Sept. 5, 2001 a completed full frame-off restoration was completed at an estimated cost of $67,000. On Jan. 18, 2002 the car suffered an engine fire and has since been rebuilt and repainted and is Concours ready. (Present owner has addresses and phone numbers of all previous owners.)

Trivia: The hood has been signed by Sir Sterling Moss who raced this model for factory Jaguar back in 1954.
In 1954, it was advertised as “The Fastest Car on the Planet”. Now that is a muscle car claim that no other hemi has ever made.
This was the only foreign car to ever win a NASCAR race. On June 13, 1954, racing at the Linden Airport in New Jersey, driver Al Keller drove the Jaguar XK120SE FHC to victory. Three other XK120 finished behind him.
This Jaguar has 1,286 miles since ground up restoration. It drives well, starts just fine, sounds great, and is fast and fun. For show or go, this is one of the most beautiful coupes you’ll ever see.
Buy it now…$85,000.00

I have engine block G4820 as of 4/21/2014. See the picture that I have uploaded of the engine number. I am in the Midwest. Engine came from a XK-120 I was restoring last year. I will not be using this block as its not original to my car.

I am the current owner of this exquisite cat! Just to clear up some confusion... G4820 is the casting # for all 120 blocks. I have the full Jaguar Heritage report. I have performed much restoration to this beauty, most notably restoring new complete battery boxes, wood kit, and Walnut dash and trim.
