A 34,000 mile time warp. This has to be the most original & unmolested Jaguar I have had the pleasure to handle. It is fully recommissioned & in beautiful running order.
This car was purchased new in Sherman Oaks, California and is a genuine SE model. The original lady owner drove the car until the early 60s. Following the purchase of an E type, the XK120 was placed into storage where it remained until the owner passed away. Leaving the car to her son, who decided to part with it without having used it. The car was purchased and recommissioned by its current third owner.
This car is 100% original and has covered an authentic 34,000 miles. It still wears its original Birch Gray exterior paint and red leather interior. The current owner decided to preserve the original wheels and tires by fitting a new set of 5 color coded wire wheels and original specification tires. In addition the car is also supplied with new over carpets and seat bases, so the new owner can drive and enjoy the car while preserving the original seat bases and carpets.
The car is matching numbers, starts easily and runs very well. The Moss gearbox shifts very smoothly and definitely supports the 34,000 miles shown on the odometer. An original tool kit, pump and jack is also present. There are many original factory inspector sign-off codes throughout the car that can clearly be seen.
This car is an incredibly rare find and a real time capsule. There are several period artifacts such as Los Angeles driving maps etc, that will accompany the car. The car took 1st place in the Preservation class of the 2018 San Marino Motor Classic. It was also catalogued and photographed by the Jaguar Club of North America as reference material in the judging of other Jaguar XK120s
A Jaguar Heritage certificate also comes with the car, along with the original pink slip. This car has never been out of California & as a result has zero corrosion.
The car is located currently in Southern California.
