I purchased this car from William E. (Bill) Welsh of Welsh Enterprises in Stubenville, Ohio on 9/11/1973
At the time it was possible to order some limited number of parts from Sears, Roebuck & Co. as well as JC Whitney.
I have a letter from the public relations department of Jaguar Cars of Coventry, England showing that the car was originally Cream with a black interior and black top distributed by Hoffman. It is titled as a 1955 even though it was dispatched in 1954. The letter also confirms the engine and body numbers. I am guessing this documentation was what preceeded the Heritage Certificates.
