Ebay item 5/16/06
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-Vintage-Jaguar-XK120-Roadster-1954-XK120-Jaguar-V ...
Opening bid $95,000 reserve not met, no bids yet, 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
This car is British Racing Green with black interior, polished aluminum motor compartment and boot. The frame and most componants have been lightend 811 lbs. lighter than stock. Modified head with enlarged parts and large valves 11 1/2 to 1 compression ratio, with 3 Weber side-draft carburetors, modified water pump, 14 quart oil pan, Vertex Magneto, gear reduction starter, and close-ratio transmission.

Everything was restored back to the way it was received, with many spares included. This was also the Pace Car for the Jaguar "Fast Masters" series at Indianapolis Raceway Park in 1993, and was reaced with SCCA in the late 1950's-1960's, but all documents were destroyed in a fire several years ago.

This car has been stored for 5 years and needs very little done to make it a first class show or vintage race car.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
