Ebay item 9/11/14
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XK-120M-1954-Jaguar-XK120M-S675943-open-roadster-matchin ...
Opening bid US $25,000 reserve not met, no bids 6 days left in auction. 3k miles.

Sellers description:
Bought the car in 1965 in Norfolk while in the Navy. Drove it home to the Pittsburgh area in about 1966. My brother drove it around home until I drove it to Lansing, Michigan in about 1969. He did an amateur restoration in 1970. Drove it for several years then it sat in storage until 2012. We were both busy in business and had no time. Been driving it lately but decided it's time for a younger owner to enjoy it. This is not a show car, but there are no mechanical problems considering the age of the restoration and the storage. This is the M model meaning 8:1 compression, wire knock off wheels, and dual exhausts.

The car has now been re-patriated into the UK and is for sale on berkshireclassiccars.com
It is a genuine 2 owner car. Last owner since 1965. Totally matching numbers, sympathetically restored in 1970 but otherwise untouched.

Very nice history of the car in the May 2015 edition of the XK Gazette.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
