Sellers description:
From the collection of one of our most prominent customers. This 1954 Jaguar is in superb original condition and after a 10 year spell rubbing shoulders with his Ferraris and Astons he has decided it is time for it to make way for something different.
The car we have is an excellent rust and accident free California example that has been sympathetically restored, the paint is beautiful and the recent black leather interior is flawless. The underside is totally rustfree and as good as a driven car can be.
Now we come to the best part of this car, the drive, it drives superbly the original matching number 3.4 litre engine pulls like a train, there is no smoke or noise in fact no drama of any kind just smooth effortless power. The transmission, brakes and suspension all work as intended and this car is ready for touring, we are confident it can be driven anywhere.
This is an XK120 SE ( special equipment).

This 1954 Jaguar XK120 SE roadster was built on May 20, 1954 and dispatched to the US via Hornburg Jaguar of Los Angeles, California. The car has been refinished in white and fitted with fixed-back bucket seats upholstered in black leather. Power is supplied by a 3.4-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and additional equipment includes 16″ knock-off wire wheels, Wilwood front disc brakes, dual SU carburetors, a center console, fender-mounted side mirrors, and a spilt windshield with side wind deflectors. This XK120 SE roadster was acquired by the current owner in 2013 and is now offered on dealer consignment with a black soft top and tonneau cover, the removed seats, a Production Record Trace certificate, and a clean California title.
The car was finished from the factory in Pastel Blue and was repainted white some time ago. Exterior details include front and rear bumperettes, fender-mounted side mirrors, a split windshield with wind deflectors, and twin polished exhaust outlets. Evidence of pitting on the brightwork is noted by the seller. A black convertible top and tonneau cover will accompany the car.
Chrome 16″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with 185-series Firestone Cavallino Sport 200 tires, and a spare is stored in the trunk. Stopping power is provided by front disc brakes with black-finished Wilwood calipers up front and drums out back.
The aftermarket fixed-back bucket seats are upholstered in black leather and are accompanied by a color-coordinated dashboard pad, center console, door panels, and carpets. Appointments include a center console, lap belts, a passenger grab handle, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, and map pockets on both doors. The removed stock seats are included in the sale.
A smaller-diameter four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, a reverse-sweep 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 13k miles, approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The stock steering wheel will accompany the car.
The 3.4-liter inline-six is equipped with dual SU carburetors and was rated at 160 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque when new.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Additional underside photos are presented in the gallery below.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust Production Record Trace certificate shows the factory colors and identification numbers along with a manufacturer date of May 20, 1954.
The VIN listed on the California title is F298585, which uses the engine number stamped on the data plate with a “5” in place of the final “S.”
