This 1954 Jaguar XK120 SE roadster is a running project that is powered by a 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in metallic white over tan upholstery. Equipment includes dual SU carburetors, chrome 16″ knock-off wire wheels, a split windshield, a louvered hood, leather hood straps, and a Moto-Lita steering wheel. The car was acquired in 2024 by the selling dealer, who notes that work to the engine, brakes, and suspension is required. This XK120 SE roadster is now offered at no reserve with spare brake components and a Pennsylvania title.
The car has been refinished in metallic white and features a louvered hood secured via leather straps. Further exterior details include a split front bumper, driving lamps, chrome rear bumperettes, dual side mirrors affixed to the split windshield, fender vents, and dual exhaust outlets. Imperfections in the finish are visible.
Chrome 16” wire wheels are secured by two-eared knockoffs and mounted with 165-series Firestone tires, while a matching spare is stored in the trunk. A repair estimate viewable in the gallery notes that the brake drums are warped and the wheel seals are leaking. Additionally, the ball joint boots are damaged, and the front left inner tie rod and rear hubs have play. A brake fluid flush is recommended, and a selection of spare disc brake components will accompany the car.
The cabin houses tan leather seats along with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Appointments include lap belts, map pockets, and a wooden shift knob. The trunk light does not illuminate.
A wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel fronts a central instrument panel housing Smiths instrumentation that includes a 140-mph speedometer and a reverse-sweep tachometer with an inset clock in addition to auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 5k miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The 3.4-liter inline-six is equipped with dual SU carburetors, and the seller notes that the block has been replaced. Noted flaws include a lack of compression in cylinder one and leaks at the head gasket and carburetors. The battery terminals are corroded, there is water in the engine oil, and wiring harness repairs are recommended, according to the service estimate.
Cylinder head stamping F2795-8S, while block stamping W9709-8.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Replacement exhaust components have been installed, and a rear exhaust hanger is loose. Leaks are noted at the gearbox and differential.
Chassis number S675393 is shown above, and the VIN listed on the current Pennsylvania title is SE675393 with an “E” added in the second position. The title also carries a “Not the Actual Mileage” odometer status.
