Ebay item 1/27/08 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $20,100 reserve not met, 11 bids, 5 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
1954 Jaguar XK 120 roadster on which 2 years ago I began a full restoration but have now run out of steam (to many other projects.) As you can see in the photos, most of the hard/difficult work is already completed. I began by disassembling the complete car. We took the body off of the frame and sent the chassis and all the suspension pieces to the media blaster. Upon return we sprayed an etching primer on the chassis and all the components. The body was next to go to the media blaster, then primed. The body was then remounted back onto the chassis and the body/chassis was placed on a dolly. The body/chassis was then sent to a body shop for the necessary panel replacement. Panels that had rust or damage were replaced with US made panels, including the sill panels, shut/hinge panels, spare tire tray, battery boxes, firewall and others.
All the welding is completed (roughed in). The bodywork still has to be finished including dent removal, panel straightening, grinding of welds and lead or filler finishing. The body shop started to remove some of the factory lead around the headlights but I stopped them.
I reinstalled the engine, transmission and rear end to ease in any shipping. The engine is complete and is a 3.8 liter but not matching to the car. All the suspension parts were media blasted and any repairs completed and primed. I’ve reassembled the front and rear suspension pieces to enable the car to be loaded onto a trailer or truck for shipping.
The only parts that I can remember I don’t have are the spats, front wing vents and bumpers. I will also include many extra parts that remain from my 1955 XK140 restoration I did a few years ago, along with the factory illustrated XK 120/140 parts catalog and service manual. The car has a clear title.
The car still requires a complete restoration and many parts rebuilt, but starting with a car as complete as this, with the hard work completed, this would be quite a fun project.

This beautiful XK120 Roadster - or Open Two-Seater as officially called in the day - first roared to life inside Jaguar's Coventry facility on April 1, 1954, towards the very end of XK120 production. Originally finished in Birch Grey over an interior trimmed in red, this left-hand drive Roadster was destined for the US market and was dispatched to Hoffman Motor Car Company in New York on April 9, 1954. The car has likely remained within the United States since.
The XK120 was later treated to a full body-off restoration finished in 2011 by Colorado-based Mountain View Restorations. The restoration involved taking the car apart and soda blasting parts down to bare metal. Then, reassembling it and perfecting the fit of the fenders, doors, hood, trunk lid and their latching mechanisms. Then the car was taken apart again, and the individual pieces painted. While that was being done the engine - a correct 3.4-Liter unit from a later XK150 - was overhauled, the frame was stripped and painted, and mechanical systems were overhauled (brakes, suspension, cooling, exhaust, electrical, etc.) and the modifications for the new 5-speed transmission were made. Lastly, after the body and frame were back together, a new interior and top by BAS Ltd was installed.
Once completed, the Jaguar would go on to tour the Western US Concours fields, and rack up many Best in Show, People's Choice, and Best in Class awards. Many of them JCNA (Jaguar Clubs of North America) nationally sanctioned shows, and the run was topped by winning the Southwest Regional Championship (Best XK120 in the Southwest US) and becoming a JCNA champion in 2012 with 99.65 points scored of 100 possible.
Today this XK120 is well-sorted throughout and ready to be enjoyed by its next owner, on spirited open-air drives, touring events, or car shows. Fitted with chrome wire-wheels shod on correct fresh Michelin tires, the car looks just right. The Jaguar-issued Heritage Trust Certificate accompanies the car along with an original owner's manual, tool roll and tire pump. Offered from a prominent Florida-based collection of show winning European sportscars, this spectacular XK120 Roadster offers a great opportunity to acquire a both stunningly beautiful and engaging driver's car, eligible for various prominent events.
Sold for US $92,500

1954 Jaguar XK 120 Roadster
Estimate US$110,000 - US$140,000
Broad Arrow Auctions - The Amelia Auction 2025 - Early Consignments, Amelia Island, USA
7 - 8 March, 2025
Lot r021
Chassis No. S675329
Engine No. G1802-8
According to its Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, this exceptional XK 120 Roadster emerged from Jaguar's Coventry works on 1 April 1954, finished in Birch Grey with Red upholstery. Delivered to Hoffman Motor Car Company of New York just days later, this left-hand drive example is thought to have remained stateside since new. In 2011, Mountain View Restorations of Colorado executed a comprehensive body-off restoration. The process included soda blasting the body to bare metal, precise panel fitment, and meticulous application of period-correct Old English White paint. The drivetrain received later and further improved 3.4-Liter unit, fully overhauled, while the chassis underwent complete mechanical refurbishment including brakes, suspension, cooling and electrical systems. A five-speed transmission and aluminum radiator were integrated, while BAS Ltd. trimmed a new red leather interior and black soft top.
The Jaguar's exceptional restoration earned numerous accolades at Western U.S. Concours events, including multiple Best in Show and Class honors. Notable achievements included winning the JCNA Southwest Regional Championship and achieving JCNA championship status in 2012 with a near-perfect score of 99.65 points. This impeccably prepared XK 120 presents beautifully today, with the trunk carrying its original service manual, tool roll, jack, knock-off hammer, tire pump, side curtains, and matching wire spare. Well maintained since being acquired by its current Nevada-based owner in 2022, including a recently installed fuel pump, this stunning roadster combines show-winning presentation with engaging driving dynamics, making it ideal for both concours and numerous vintage rallies.
