This 1954 Jaguar XK120 SE roadster was completed on March 23, 1954, and was distributed by Charles Hornburg Jaguar of Los Angeles, California. The car was acquired by the seller in 2013 and subsequently refurbished with a repaint in green and an interior refresh. Power is provided by a 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a tan soft-top, front disc brakes, 16″ knock-off wire wheels, and dual SU carburetors. This XK120 SE is offered by the seller in Arizona with a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, a tool kit, removed factory parts, a tonneau cover, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.
The car is said to have received bodywork and rust repair before it was repainted in the factory shade of Pastel Green. Exterior features include a tan convertible soft-top with a glass rear window, a fender-mounted left-side mirror, fender vents, chrome bumperettes, and dual exhaust outlets. A complete set of re-plated chrome side-curtain frames are included and shown in the gallery.
The 16” wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-off spinners and wrapped with Vredestein Sprint Classic tires. A full-size spare and tools are located in the trunk. Stopping power is provided by upgraded front disc brakes and rear drums. The removed brake hardware is included in the sale.
The cabin features seats that have been reupholstered in green with color-matching door panels and carpets. Features include a dash-mounted rear-view mirror, passenger-side grab handle, and map pockets in both doors.
A four-spoke steering wheel frames a green dash panel housing Smiths instrumentation that includes a 140-mph speedometer, a reverse-sweep tachometer with an inset clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 402 miles. True mileage is unknown.
The XK 3.4-liter inline-six shows engine stamping *F2544-8S* and is said to have been fitted with a replacement A-type cylinder head. Equipment includes dual SU carburetors, factory high-lift camshafts, and black porcelain-finished headers. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate shows factory colors and identification numbers as well as a build date of March 23, 1954.
The Arizona title lists a VIN of F254448S, which matches the engine number shown on the chassis tag.
