Sellers description:
1954 Jaguar XK 120. The engine starts up and runs well. The clutch works and the gearbox shifts through gears properly. The fuel pump is not working and will need replacement. The front brakes are disassembled, so the braking system will need to be repaired before it is street ready.
The overall condition of the vehicle is good, the vehicle is not completely restored yet. We have noted that all of the gauges on the instrument cluster work, and also the external lights work properly. The car has a clean California Title; however, it does not have license plates or stickers. The registration status is Title Only with Valid Non-Op. The vehicle is in my automotive repair shop on a lift. We are selling it for a friend who does not have an e-Bay account. The car was owned by her for the last twenty years, and by her late husband for the twenty years prior to that.

This car has been garaged for at least 50 years... there is no rust, beyond spots of light surface rust.... also, we discovered while taking pictures that the rear brakes are also disassembled. the auction includes the 4 brake drums, a set of relined shoes, and a box of brake parts which appears complete, we are not intimately familiar with these but the box is well organized and looks like it has everything (wheel cylinders, rubber parts, lines, etc.) one of the drums is on the front left, the others are on the shelf.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
