There is a colour photo of this car in Jaguar World Jan/Feb 1995 taken at the Monterey Historics gathering 1994. The caption reads: "1953 Mistral Jaguar built on an XK 120 chassis shortened by 12 inches...it's owned by Butch Gilbert of Westley, California".
Colour of the car was red. It was listed for sale.
