Ebay item 1/14/19
www.ebay.com/itm/1954-Jaguar-XK-SE/123593937335
Current bid: $25,000 reserve not met 1 bid 4 days left in auction, seller fortheanimals2003, 50k miles.
Seller's description:
I'm pleased to offer this 1954 Jaguar XK120 SE, in running and driving order. The car is very original and extremely solid for its age. It even sports its original paint which is in need of attention but usable as is. This is an estate car, most of it's life being in New York, and could be found in very good order. The interior is complete and newer, with plush leather seats and wool carpets. The body is rock solid and shows no signs of accident damage or rust; seams are all excellent and the doors shut with a solid "thunk"!
The sills and door shut pillars are all very solid- these are usually weak points on these cars. The aluminum hood and boot are straight and without kinks - another usual problem. The boot is rock solid with spare tire tray in solid condition. The chrome is shiny and will not embarrass anyone. The engine bay is very clean with evidence of new (non-original) wiring probably added for safety and practicality. This is an "SE" (Special Edition).
The SE head on the motor is the racing version and much more powerful and sought after.
The motor starts readily, and has the classic Jaguar throaty (rorty) sound. The oil pressure is excellent at plus 40lbs at idle. Underneath, while the car has not been detailed one might think it had been. It is very very clean and rust and grease free (an attest to being kept in climate controlled storage).
Again, there is no evidence of structural damage. The electrics all work as they should with no issues. The hydraulics are in working order. The fabric top is in good order but showing its age, but rear vinyl window is clear.
A set of original side curtains are with the car, in good order, and show well. The original painted wire wheels (SE Spec) are in good order but the tyres are old and should be replaced.
Some additional information:
- Prior to sale the car will receive a tune-up including points, plugs, condenser, points, etc.
-In addition the car has received an oil change and filter.
- Fluids were changed/flushed: Transmission, Diff, Brakes, Radiator.
-Tie rod ends on both right and left have been replaced.

Private Party or Dealer: Dealer
This 1954 Jaguar XK120 Roadster was delivered new with the Special Equipment package and was recently acquired from the estate of longterm previous owner. Finished in creme with matching wire wheels and a biscuit interior, the car is powered by its numbers-matching 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six, which is paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox. The selling dealer has added only a few miles since acquiring the car in 2018, and recent service included a brake adjustment and new water pump. This XK120 SE is now offered with a soft top, side curtains, a spare starter, Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, and a clear Washington DC title.
A repaint in creme white was performed at some point in the past and included the engine compartment, door jambs, and trunk. Discoloration, fading, and cracking has occurred in the finish over the years. A beige convertible top and a pair of matching side curtains are included with the sale. Older tires are mounted on the painted wire wheels, and a matching spare resides in the trunk. Braking is managed by 4-wheel hydraulic drums, which have recently been adjusted. Biscuit upholstery covers the seats, dash, door panels, and cabin surround over a matching carpet. The 5-digit odometer shows 11k miles, and the actual mileage is unknown.
The 3.4-liter XK inline-six is equipped with twin SU carburetors and mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. SE engines came equipped with higher-lift camshafts and were rated at 180 horsepower when new, up from the 160 produced by non-SE models.
The engine block and cylinder head stampings match the included Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate and data plate. A build date of January, 29 1954 is shown on the included Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate. The original color combination is indicated as Suede Green over a matching interior with a French Grey convertible top.
