Current bid $85,100 reserve not met, 4 bids, 4 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
The Jaguar listed here is in excellent condition. A ground up restoration was completed by Jon Pollock Restorations in 2001. The car was shown at that time in Jaguar Clubs of North America (JCNA) sanctioned events. In 2001, with an average score of 99.91, this car received a First Place Award in Class 2 for the Southwest Region. After that time it was awarded numerous awards and was driven sparingly.
Recently radial tires were mounted on the wire wheels, Jaguar 150 disk brakes from England (Guy Broad) were installed on the front wheels, and a Tremec close ratio 5 speed from Classic Jaguar was added. These three improvements make the car much more driveable. The original components are retained and will be sold with the car.
It was sold new by Charles Hornburg Jaguar (Los Angeles, CA) on January 11, 1954 to a Mr. G.W. Ogden of Santa Monica, CA. It was painted Pastel Green with a Green Suede interior and a Fawn top. This information was obtained from the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate. The car is currently painted Silver with a Red leather interior and a Black top.
Approximately 2,500 miles have been put on the car since restoration and is in beautiful condition cosmetically as well as mechanically. It has a full set of books and tools. Additionally, a black California license plate which matches the ownership certificate will accompany the car.
