This extremely rare and original right hand drive car is to 'Special Equipment' specification, as evidenced by the heritage certificate, and was first dispatched to Nairobi in East Africa in Cream with Red interior. According to letters in the history file seven were exported there in 1952 but few survive as the ex-service owners used to race them apparently. This car has been completely rebuilt, with photographic evidence, and is described by the owner as being in superb condition throughout and the mileage is believed to be genuine at a mere 56000 miles.
With 'C' type carburettors and colour coded wire wheels this is one of the very best.

661006 was fully rebuilt when it came back to England in the mid-late 90s by Roger Somerfield using Guy Broad parts. Little is then known until it had an engine rebuild by Guy Broad in 2007 and various body maintenance at CMC in the teens. Still in excellent largely original condition although the gearbox has been changed (period correct but no longer matching numbers) and the front brakes were upgraded to Coopercraft disks by P&K Thornton along with a damper and 4HA axle upgrade. Repainted in 2020 and further engine fettling in 2021 by Turner Classics. Most recent fettling in 2023 by CMC in Bridgnorth where car is for sale. c. 69k miles on the clock.
