Ebay item 1/29/25www.ebay.com/itm/205253014012
Car has a buy it now price of $32,500 for 29 days, seller carsanddogs1970
Seller's description:
This car came from deep within my city. It was the cherished car of a Scandinavian family in our town. The man who sold it to me recalled the time his father traded a Mark 5 for it. They drove way up in the Oakland hills and saw the jag with dented fenders in front of a big house. Well they fixed the fenders in 1974 and the dad drove his kids all over Northern California to every beach from Santa Cruz to Stinson. The son held on to the car for many decades before selling it to us. He took me for one last ride to get a pack of smokes and the car changed hands. The XK always started for us and has held a charge.
The brakes are barely there but today I took the jag for one triumphant cruise in the bright sunlight. The car did great and people honked and waved and hooted and hollered. I got these pics for you and drove back to the garage. The engine was switched and so was the transmission. They took out the automatic and replaced it with a manual. The engine has smooth acceleration and was surprisingly peppy. I very much enjoyed driving the big white cat. It was fun to get out there and let it stretch its legs. The tires are some of the oldest I've ever seen. They will not be safe for highway speeds. I love the old leather covers for the rear suspension. This car has some very cool qualities in its originality. There are some DMV registration cards from the 70's. I have a color copy of the 1972 pink slip he gave me.
