Felix, this car is an XKSS replica. D-types were race cars whereas XKSS's were road cars. Compare XKD518 with this car.

I was wrong about the engine it belongs to my car .Confusion over serial numbers,turns out some how I got a bill of sale for your car from 1971 mix in my paper work . And your chassis serial serial number was recorded . If you ever want the old bill of sale from 1971 let me know I can mail it to you
