Nice shot of this car in the August 2012 edition of the XK Gazette. Beautiful. Maroon in color with light maroon hood.

I owned this car, A817351DN, from the early '70's until 1993, when I sold it to someone who said it was going to Poland to be restored (it was a restoration project in process in 1993, and I had no time to finish it).

At that time it was LHD. If this is indeed the same car, it was converted to RHD sometime since. Nice to see it completed and running again.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
