Ebay item 12/9/12
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1956-Jaguar-XK-140-FHC-Coupe-/261139614061
Opening bid $59,000, no reserve no bids 6 days left in auction. 86k miles.
Sellers description:
Paint shows very nice with barely any flaws and so does the chrome.
Avon 6.00 V16 tires are mounted on the wire wheels.
The interior looks original with just the right amount of patina on it. The original leather seats are just perfectly worn in.
All gauges beside the clock seem to work fine.
The wood on dash board shows a few cracks.
Nice original wool headliner.
Currently is a wood Nardi steering wheel installed.
The engine was rebuilt by the previous owner and it really shows.
I do not have any receipts for this work, but please feel free to have the car inspected by an independent party and I am sure they will concur.
We have inspected the car for rust or accidents and found no indication of any. All wheel wells are unmolested and the floor is very nice and original as well with no aftermarket undercoating or welding of any kind.
The car really amazes me as it starts each time, even if parked for long period of times.
This is a very desirable Jaguar XK140 as it is one of the last ones built.
It has just the right amount of patina on it so it can be enjoyed daily.

AS the numbers for this model stretch from 814001 to 815966 it coulld hardly be said it is near the beginning or the end of the model production but otherwise it all looks very genuine
