This 1956 Jaguar XK140 roadster was refurbished in the 1990s and is powered by a 3.4-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The car is finished in red over red leather, and features include a removable white soft top, side curtains, 16″ wire wheels, fog lights, wood interior trim, and adjustable seats. This XK140 was acquired by the selling dealer in 2025 and is now offered in Portland, Oregon with the owner’s manual, literature, and a clean California title.
The car is finished in red and was repainted in the 1990s. Features include a removable white soft top, side curtains, a split windshield, fog lights, bright trim, and full-width chrome bumpers with overriders. Blemishes are shown up close in the gallery.
The 16″ wire wheels are mounted with whitewall tires. A spare is stored under the trunk floor, and braking is handled by drums at each corner.
The cabin was refreshed in the 1990s and houses adjustable seats trimmed in red leather. Interior appointments include a cabin heater, a defroster, lap belts, and door storage pockets.
The four-spoke steering wheel wears an aftermarket lace-up cover and sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation consisting of a reverse-sweep 6k-rpm tachometer, a 140-mph speedometer, and an ammeter alongside gauges for oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 34k miles.
The 3.4-liter inline-six featured dual SU carburetors from the factory for a rating of 190 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque.
Engine block stamping G7793-8 and corresponding number is listed on the cylinder head as well as on the chassis plate.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
The car is titled using engine number G77938, chassis number is A812388.
