I continue to enjoy the XK both here in the UK and on overseas tours (New Zealand).

I have fitted an original overdrive Moss box, front disc brakes and 'D' type cams.

I have no earlier history of the car apart from what is shown in XK data. Does anyone know who rebuilt it, any further information appreciated.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
