Sellers description:
Someone had started a restoration on this 1955 XK140 roadster some time ago and the front clip got lost out of a body shop. Nobody seems to know where it is. All the numbers match except the cylinder head to the block, but it is an XK140 head. What comes with the car is the following: the rear clip, two fenders, boot lid, two doors (but one is only shown in the pictures), the convertible top frame, the windshield frame, one whole seat on the passenger side and seat bottom on the driver's side, the radiator, air cleaner (not shown), the complete steering and the steering wheel. The car steers and rolls for easy shipping. All the suspension and brakes are there as well as the hand brake assembly. The engine has the starter, generator, carburetors, intake manifolds, water pump and all the pulleys as you can see. The gearbox is complete. The frame is in good shape. The engine has not been rebuilt. The ID tag is on the frame. What the car is missing is: front and rear bumpers, lights, instruments and the front clip. Obviously the car needs a total restoration.

This 1955 XK140 roadster, I believe started it's life in California, but it has been on the east coast now for quite some time. As far ar the numbers are concerned - the head does not match the block, but it is an XK140 head. The frame on the car is in super nice condition. It does not need patches or welding. The car is pretty much complete, there are a couple of boxes with extra parts that come with the car. The instruments are all there, but one, which I believe is the amp guage. The engine and the components are mostly all complete. The car is going to need a total restoration. The car steers and rolls for ease of shipping. I do have a clear California title for the car.
