The drive line has been replaced with a 3.4 litre from a MKII 1967 model.

Be aware that this car is actually chassis number 847072. On the builders plate the numbver is 836579. Having been restored in Canada it is likely that a body from 836579 was placed on chassis 847072 and it was subsequently registrered with the wrong chassis number.

Surely the chassis number is what it is ....... 847072 ?? and it has another body on it. So what.
It's been done many times before and it will be done many times in the future, even the factory did it when the cars were new, no big deal but it's still chassis number 847072. (Not 836579)
    Lovely car by the way.

Sorry to be contoversial but the numbers argue the opposite. 836579 has the body of 847072

    Peter,
At the moment he's saying it has the 'build plate' of 836579 on chassis 847072 and "registered with the wrong chassis number" (ie: registered on the details of the build plate), shame,
