Harwood Enterprises - Offered for Sale at $119,000. This is a very rare XK150 S roadster with manual overdrive. This great example has undergone a complete restoration by a Marque specialist and has very low miles placed on the car since it was finished. All numbers match on the car and it does come with a Jaguar Archive Certificate to confirm authenticity. Mechanically the car is excellent and the compression is great. It is ready to go to shows and to drive.

Additional information about this car: EXTREMELY rare car one of about twelve 3.4L survivors with the racing mechanical overdrive. LHD 150S Roadsters were the only models to have this feature. This was announced April 1959 in Jaguar Service Bulletin 263. The commencing chassis # was 831963 and applies to LHD only. Subsequently all 3.8L LHD Jaguar XK 150S OTS were equipped with the racing mechanical overdrive. RHD XK 150S Roadsters and all 150S FHC and DHC (left hand and right hand) were equipped with electric overdrives. The main reason that 3.8L LHD XK 150S Roadsters command such hefty premiums over the FHC and the DHC is the racing mechanical overdrive. This Buyer got REALLY lucky.

cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $50,000 reserve not met 1 bid 7 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Stockton, California. 109k miles.
Sellers description:
Finished in maroon with a complimentary black leather interior, this older restoration still shines with lots of patina. The engine is, of course, the dual overhead cam six cylinder, a four speed transmission with overdrive (works well) and three carbs. Lucas fog lights are on the front and over riders front and rear. All guages are functional and cosmetically nice. Chrome wire wheels (5) and exceptional chrome plating compliment the beautiful lines of this 150 S. It was sold new in New York and now resides in California.

It was delivered new to the state of New York, where it stayed until bought by its previous owner, a collector from California, in 2008. The Jaguar Heritage Certificate for the car confirms that the engine and the gearbox are the ones that were fitted in the car originally. Presented in Imperial red with a splendid black interior, this beautiful example had major work carried out at the start of 2013 by Jaguar Service in Holland, who refurbished the engine, carburettors and brakes for a sum of €5,700, to ensure that this sports car performs as it should. Sold with its Jaguar Heritage Certificate, original manuals and toolkit, this superb automobile is a great example of the most successful XK model that is raring to head out onto the B roads.

The reference to DN overdrive quotes 832065 not this car. Which one claims mechanical O/D ????

- Collection of a classic car enthusiast
- Attractive S version, manual gearbox with overdrive

After the fanfare for the launch of the XK 120 at the London Motor Show in 1948, Jaguar didn't rest on its laurels. In 1954, the XK 140 appeared at first glance to be a continuation, but in reality it was a completely different car. As a prelude to the launch of the E-Type - scheduled for the start of the 1960s - Jaguar produced a final version of the XK, the Type 150, presented in 1957. The styling was smoother and the car also benefitted from developments made in competition, amongst them, all-round disc brakes and a higher performance engine, notably on the " S " versions. This Jaguar roadster from 1959 was therefore one of the first generation of the XK150, equipped with a 3.4-litre 250 bhp SAE engine, with three SU HD8 carburettors and Straight Port cylinder head.
It was delivered new by Jaguar New York to its first owner from Virginia. The Jaguar Heritage Certificate for the car confirms that the engine and the gearbox are the ones that were fitted in the car originally.
Imported from California, USA, to Europe in 2013, it has been carefully restored. In its beautiful Imperial red livery with its superb black leather interior with matching hood and carpets, this car has indeed benefited from major work
Beginning 2013, a specialist in the Netherlands overhauled the engine and carburetion, as well as the braking system, plus addressed various bodywork and interior issues, all for a little over 9,300 €. Thereafter in France, it was the cooling and the steering system which were revised. Today the somewhat old restoration has aged well. The paint is homogeneous, the chrome shiny, the rims almost new, the interior very nice and the mechanicals still very tidy. The speedometer of this sports car, which works as it should, shows barely 9,450 miles. The condition of the car is particularly attractive. Especially since it benefits from additional lamps. Sold with a file that includes the Jaguar Heritage Certificate and the maintenance manual, its black tonneau cover as well as its tool kit, this beautiful car represents one of the most successful models from the XK range.
Estimation 90 000 - 120 000 €
