Seller's description:
For sale is a stunning 1958 Jaguar XK 150 OTS in brilliant Carmen Red with a black leather interior. Restored in the USA in the 1980s, where it won several awards, this car is in excellent condition, ready to drive, and comes with a valuation report rating it 2 (on a scale where 1 is the best). Imported to Germany by the seller in 2007, this Jaguar XK 150 OTS embodies the timeless charm of British sports cars and is ready to delight its next owner.
Country version US
Location DE-61476 Kronberg im Taunus
Color Carmen Red
The original engine was replaced by the first owner with an S-engine immediately after purchase. It features a third carburetor and significantly increased power.
Appraisal from November 2023 with a grade of 2 (on a scale where 1 is the best)
The car has two very rare features – the wooden steering wheel was a rarity at the time but is original to the period, and the reading light is also original and illuminates when folded up.
The vehicle was restored in the USA in the 1980s and received several trophies and awards.
The vehicle is in very good overall condition.
Owned by the seller since 2007 and imported to Germany.
The car has five stainless steel wire wheels and comes with the original tool kit and jack.
The Jaguar was kept in a collection between 1989 and 2008.
From 1982 onwards, the Jaguar underwent an extensive restoration, involving over 2,000 hours of labor – a "nut and bold" approach. All parts were renewed or completely overhauled and reinstalled in better-than-new condition. Where possible, all screws were replaced with new, rust-free ones. The entire body was galvanized before painting; this is still clearly visible on the hood. For this perfect restoration, the previous owner received over 20 awards over the years.
Year of Manufacture: 1958
First Registration: USA, 1958
