Ebay item 7/11/09 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-Jaguar-XK140-1957-Jaguar-XK140-Drop-Head-Converti ...
Sellers description:
This vehicle has been in our family since the mid 1970's. At that time, it was running and was PA inspected with approximately 57,000 miles on the odometer. Throughout its travels, the car has always been stored inside with minimal rust as a result. In the early 1980's the car was stripped to the bare metal and primered. There is minimal bondo on the car. Some of the wiring was replaced and the interior wood pieces were refinished. All the chrome was removed as was the body from the frame. The frame is rolling on Lester Wide White Wall tires which after 25 years, still hold air. The engine has not been running in years; however, we have put Marvel Mystery oil in the cylinders. The Jag is in "as is" condition. The red interior is 95% complete with a few interior wood trim pieces missing. Also the chrome hood molding and the shift handle, which mounts on the steering column is missing. The "busy" work has been completed and the car ready for restoration. The metal braces welded to the interior support the body while suspended.
Items include:
gas tank
complete interior except for some pieces of wood door trim
head light assembly
trunk mat
trunk tools including "T" handle
trunk handle
trunk molding
antenna
radiator
steering column & center cap
automatic plastic indicator
fender skirts
horns
exterior mirrors
rear view mirrors
front & rear bumpers
bumper guards
windshield and door glass
windshield wipers
gas cap cover with key
hood latch
complete engine and transmission on a rolling frame
The car is located in Reading, Pennsylvania in Berks County.
