Build date 1954 November

This XK140 is unlikely to be 817009. THe paint colour is ARBOUR GREEN and looks to be original. ARBOUR GREEN was not available until 1956. The pictures show that the Boot-Lid handle is the later type introduced in early 1955. Two good indicators that this car is not 1954 dom, and thus not 817009.

How on earth did this just get left on the side of the road for so long?

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
