The car presented is a 1956 XK 140 roadster, pearl gray color, dark red leather interior. It is a magnificent automobile fully restored in the United States, its engine has only traveled 2,500 km since its complete repair at S.P.R. It is also equipped with an electronic immobilizer, an additional fan, a stainless steel exhaust line and new whitewall tires. It has kept its original engine and is equipped with its spat and sidecreen. Its serial number ending with DN indicates that the car was equipped with a Normanville Laycock overdrive, of which we have not found any trace. It will be delivered with an invoice file.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
