Offered for sale on Ebay with the following information.
1956 Jaguar XK 140 Roadster The following is a canadate for uglest 140 in the world.Ok this is the story.A father told his son not to buy this car so the mother signed to get the car. 4 days after buying the car transmission went bad.So the son parked the car in the driveway and the father told him to have the car fixed by the following weekend.Insted the son went to Woodstock with girlfriend to party so the father cut the car up into pieces and buried it in an apple orchard near Wisconson State Line. This is a true story. So I baught the remains and dug it up.The Engine and some of the parts were in a shed Some of thease parts are in very good condition were puchased later. We are still looking thru more early Jag parts to ID them so we can put them on ebay at a later date.I do have clear Illinois.title and the data plates. We have a lot of pictures of what come with this XK 140.Any question please feal free to ask. Here are the numbers from the data plate chassis # A180788 Body # F10798 Gear Box #0SL2652B Engine # G1736-8. One picture shows all the original rusty body parts thar were dug up.Another Picture shows the original motor and carbs this motor is a C type it is complete and original with original head and serial numbers.

I don't believe the car was actually buried ie hole in the ground and covered in dirt chopped up and discarded out in the weather certainly.
It would appear to be difficult to call matching numbers A series chassis prefix means no C type head and cam covers certainly have C type badges what is actual number on block and head
