Car to be at Coy's auction 4/10
www.coys.co.uk/auctions/lot.php

Auction description:
1956 Jaguar XK140 Fixedhead Coupe
Lot 230

Registration Number: EU Registered
Chassis Number: 804728

Being one of only 480 fixed head coupe versions ever built in RHD spec, chassis 804728 is fitted with the 210 HP engine with C-Type cylinder head. The car is in a nicely patinated shape after it was re-painted some years ago. The vendor describes the car as being in good overall condition, with a strong pull on the engine.

Both bodywork and chrome are in a very presentable condition. Having resided with a German collector for the past 25 years, the car received regular attention and comes complete with German paperwork.

Estimate: €35000 - €40000

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
