As advertised on www.carandclassic.com/car/C1598962

Originally supplied by the factory in Fixed Head Coupe form in 1956, this beautiful example was fully restored and rebodied in about 1984 with an original Drop Head Coupe body. A very substantial file accompanies the car as a record of its history. So: what we have is a matching numbers XK140 chassis installed with its ORIGINAL SE specification engine, complete with rare & desirable `C` Type cylinder head, all correctly numbered. Likewise the Drophead Coupe body still wears its original Identity Tag to confirm its own ex-factory originality.

Elegantly presented and superbly maintained, this car has been in the hands of three fastidious owners for 40 years who have used it regularly on International classic car events. Its maintenance history is supported by leading marque specialists – CKL Developments and latterly by WinSpeed of Guildford.

So here we have an opportunity to own one of the most desirable of all XKs, very sensibly priced to reflect fascinating history.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
