Just acquired this partial restoration project.
A familiar story, started many years ago but original owner ran out of time enthusiasm and energy. Should be on road in next 12 months

Purchased April 2007. Off road for many years, mechanical retoration almost complete. Body and trim to be restored may revert to original colours

Full body off restoration now under way. Body worse than originally thought! Roger thanks for your comment on colour, I have some time before a decision on this.

Car is mentioned in the August 2013 edition of the XK Gazette. It has a new owner than is continuing the restoration.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
