Auction description:
Lot 608
1956 Jaguar XK140 Fixed Head Coupe
Registration Number: NMV 930
Chassis Number: 804443DN
Chassis 804443DN was first registered in 1956, and is described as being in excellent condition throughout by the vendor. The car has recently benefitted from a restoration project to the bodywork, and a partial refurbishing of the interior, including the dashboard. The engine is fitted with overdrive, and is described as running extremely well.
Finished in Old English White with a green leather interior, it comes complete with original green buff log book and an MoT certificate valid until May 2010. This XK140 represents excellent value for money and would make a fine addition to any collection.

Auction description:
This smartly-presented home market example of the latter has been comprehensively restored over a number of years, during the last two of which particular attention has been paid to realigning the doors and bonnet, improving the braking system, fitting new hoses, sorting the electrical system, and fully overhauling the SU carburettors. As a result of the work carried out, the vendor informs us that the Jaguar is 'now running very well' and classes the White paintwork as 'very good', the bodywork, Sage Green leather interior trim and four-speed manual gearbox as 'good', and the venerable 3.4-litre XK engine as 'well sorted'. 'NMV 930' currently displays an unwarranted 88,232 miles and is being sold complete with MOT and tax valid until October next year.

Car returns to ebay 11/10/15 www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jaguar-XK140-FHC/231726487153
Classified Ad price: £69,950. Seller xkeng123
Sellers description:
Built in September 1955 this car was despatched to Henleys, London on 10th October 1955. An original RHD car, it left the factory in British Racing Green with Suede Green trim and the Heritage Certificate confirms that it has matching numbers.
We are advised that the previous owner undertook improvement works over a number of years and there is a file of invoices to support this along with the original green log book, but we have not been able to establish when the car was colour changed to White. The indicated mileage of 88400 is not warranted but the overall condition is very good and the car dives well.
