French title

This Jaguar XK120 was delivered new in California on January 28th, 1953 by Jaguar Hornburg Los Angeles to Mister F.C. Liebhardt Junior. It is in the hands of its passionate owner since 2004. The car has undergone a total restoration, from the chassis, body apart. The engine was rebuilt, converted to unleaded fuel, fitted with an electronic ignition and a stainless exhaust. The cabin was redone in shades of green and beige while the woodwork came from Philippe Dehaie in Paris. The green paint is close to be perfect and its wheels are new. The only sprain originally was the mounting of SPAX telescopic and adjustable shock absorbers on the rear axle - as on an XK140 - all to get a better handling while maintaining comfort. The car is in superb condition, particularly healthy, it is complete with its tools, jack, pump, but also a trunk suitcase. This Jaguar is very reliable, it does not heat and is particularly pleasant to ride! His last technical inspection does not admit any notable defect. Ready to take the road for historic rallies on the roads of France, from Picardy to Pyrenees, this Jaguar is a real sports car to the old eligible almost everywhere!

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
