    Sellers description:
This 1953 XK120 coupe is a matching number car throughout. This has been stored in a dry barn since 1976. The frame on the car is in super condition and the metal part of the floors are all intact. Of course there is some plywood that should fit over the metal floors, but the wood is missing. The car appears to be complete other than missing the tool kit and jack. This XK120 was dissassembled years ago in order to restore the car. The owner passed away and the work was never done. Since I've owned it, I have assembled the car i.e. bumpers, transmission and running gear. The fuel tank is in excellent condition. All the glass is intact. The bumpers, lighting, guages and instruments are all there. As far as the body goes the sills and the shut pillars are not rotted out, the bottom of all the fenders are in nice condition. The only spot of rust I see is in the spare tire area of the boot. The car does not run and I have not attempted to start it, but it rolls and steers for shipping purposes. I have boxes of misc. parts that are not in the photos that go with the car. This XK120 coupe is an excellent canditate for restoration.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
