Ebay item 3/23/09
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-Coupe-Jaguar-1953-XK-120-Fixed-head-coupe_W0QQcmd ...
Current bid $10,100, no reserve, 2 bids 5 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
It was purchased in 1975, it started up and was driven to a garage where my father drained the engine. It has sat there for the past 30+ years. I really don't know much about cars, so I am going on what I was told. I was told that the body and chassis are 1953, but that the engine is a 1955, I have no idea how to verify this. The body and chassis are in great shape, no major rust or damage. I can't attest to the condition of the engine, but it did run when it was last started up, and was drivable. The interior is a lost cause, I have some random parts and wood, not sure if they are original or not. The tires actually hold air and the wheels are the spindle type, in fine shape. In the engine compartment, there is a stamped info plate saying "Chassis 630481 Body J2485" I am not sure how many of these were made, but was told by a dealer that they are comparatively rare.
