Sellers description:
This 1952 XK120 could be driven home today. The car runs and drives beautifuly. The numbers on the car as follows: the chassis number is 679700, the body number is J1704, the engine is W4944-8, and the gear box number isJL10693. The car's engine was changed many years ago and was upgraded to an XK150 3.4 liter engine. The location of the original engine is unknown. The number on the new engine is V4809-8. The present engine and gear box was rebuilt about 5 years ago. Probably less that 3,000 miles were put on the rebuilt engine. The oil pressure is excellent and there is no tapping noises, etc. At the time the engine was rebuilt a new stainless steel, dual exhaust was installed and the brakes were all done. The car is pretty much complete. It is missing the following: the tool kit, the jack, and the ash tray. It does have the grease gun though. The interior in the car is in usable condition. The seats are in great shape there are no tears or rips. The wood's veneer is peeling. The carpets are gone. The body on the car has a couple of dents on the front fender, which I've tried to show in some photos. The original color is British Racing green. The paint is all one color, but it is a very poor paint job. This is not a concourse car, but you can have fun with it right away without spending any money on it.
