Car offered at: www.janluehn.com
Sellers description: colour Blue interior colour Red drive LHD type Coupe year 1952 price 42.350 GBP VAT No country Germany Specific history of this car: This specific car has been delivered new in 1952 to the US. Unfortunately died the first owner just one year later and the Jaguar remained in the family estate in California for several years. During the fifties and sixties it was occasionally used by the sister of the first owner, before it has been exported to Europe. Today the car is presented in very good and restored condition throughout. The XK120 has a total mileage of only some 26.000 miles since new. It is believed that the car is accident free and has no corrosion damage. During its restoration a couple of years ago, almost all the original parts were re-used, today the car still has its original engine, gearbox and even the wire loom. The full leather interior and the engine bay is presented very tidy and original. The car now has a German road registration and is ready to go.

Lot #31601
Seller: Shelby_1967
Location: Saint Ann, Missouri 63074
Chassis: 679274
US-Market LHD FHC
27k Miles Shown, TMU
Numbers-Matching 3.4-Liter Inline-Six
4-Speed Manual Gearbox
Dark Blue over Red Leather
Independent Front Suspension
Drum Brakes
Operating Handbook
JDHT Certificate
This 1952 Jaguar XK120 is a Fixed Head Coupe finished in dark blue over red leather and is powered by a numbers-matching 3.4-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual gearbox. It was sold new at Hornburg Jaguar in Los Angeles, California and was reportedly imported to Europe in the 1960s, where it remained until 2008, when it was brought back to the United States. A refurbishment was performed in the 1990s, and equipment includes Lucas driving lamps, solid wheels, and rear spats. This XK120 is now offered by the selling dealer with service records, a tool kit and jack, an operating handbook, a JDHT certificate, and a clean Missouri title.
Chassis #679274 was reportedly delivered new in silver and changed to dark blue under prior ownership. Blemishes are noted around the grille and nose. A set of Lucas headlights and driving lamps are installed along with black fender welting. Solid 16” wheels are finished in Midnight Blue with one-piece covers and come wrapped in Dunlop Road Speed tires. Braking is managed by 12” Lockheed hydraulic drums at each corner. Red upholstery and matching carpet fill out the cabin, with wood covering the dash, door caps, and window surrounds. A four-spoke steering wheel fronts factory Smiths instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, auxiliary gauges, and a five-digit odometer showing 27k miles. The speedometer has overlay stickers demarcating km/h.
The 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six features an aluminum cylinder head, studless cam covers, and an iron block. Factory specifications included twin SU carburetors and an 8:1 compression ratio, with output rated at 160 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. A mechanical inspection reportedly was performed by the selling dealer’s technician within the past eighteen months.
Engine-block stamping W4101-8 matches the JDHT certificate and with corresponding cylinder-head number. The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate lists the original configuration and a production date of January 25, 1952.
The sale includes an Operating and Maintenance Handbook, spare parts, a pair of Germany vanity license plates, a jack, and a tool kit.
