Presently restoring, 3/4 done. This car was raced by owner of Burbank, CA Import Motors in the 1950's.
Car is equipped Borrani wire wheels, after market early 50's.
Tail lights appear painted not chromed, any input? Have owned the car approximately 35 years.

Painted taillight housings are correct for a period from late 1951 to early 1952. The story is that there was a shortage of chromium, and Jaguar chose to delete chrome here for a few months. My own 679187 is another example of painted taillights, definitely original.
