car is sold from Classic Park: en.classicpark.com/car/1792/jaguar-xk120-dhc
Discription:
This beautiful Jaguar XK120 DHC is new delivered to the first owner on the 12th of August 1953 by the Jaguar dealer Hornburg in Hollywood (at Sunset blvd). The XK was driven in the USA until it was in need of a restoration. A Dutchman bought the car as a restoration object and in 1992 the car was imported into the Netherlands.
He started with the restoration that would last until 2000. The car is body-off restored. The restoration is documented by pictures. On the 2th of November 2000 the car was registered in the Netherlands. The car is then matching numbers and the current color scheme matches exactly how the car has been delivered.
In January 2007 the car is sold to the second Dutch owner, his purpose is to use the car for long rallies throughout Europe. He equipped the XK with a Getrag 5 gearbox, disc brakes, an improved cooling system and an engine that has been slightly improved so that it can be used more intensively. The original engine, gearbox and brake parts are stored and are included in the sale.
Despite the fact that the restoration is a little bit older this XK120 is in an extremely good condition and the car is, thanks to its upgrades, a marvelous driver.
