The Jaguar offered here comes in the colour combination of dark blue bodywork with a red leather interior and a blue soft top. A beautiful colour combination that attracts the attention of many connoisseurs. Disc wheels, with the rear wheels partially disappearing behind the spats, complete the picture here as well. Also present with this beautiful Jaguar XK120 DHC is the Jaguar Heritage Certificate, which proves that the car was shipped to Hornburg, Los Angeles on 21 July 1953. The production of the DHC started in 1953 and this makes our specimen one of the very early DHCs.
The Jaguar underwent a restoration at a Jaguar Specialist in the Netherlands and was given this new dark blue colour. The accompanying documentation shows everything you need to know about this XK120.
Are you curious as well and do you want to know more about this beautiful Jaguar XK120 DHC? She is now for sale at Rock N Roll Classics in Bruges.

This Jaguar XK120 DHC is an effortlessly stylish and elegant classic British open-top sports car, which benefits from an extensive historical restoration.
Under the bonnet sits a non matching naturally aspirated 3.4-litre DOHC straight-six fed by twin SU carburettors, delivering around 162PS to the rear wheels via a retro-fitted five-speed manual transmission.
This example was originally a US-delivered model, which was first registered in July 1953, and has since been imported to Belgium.
The odometer indicates 3,135 miles, though this is not warranted.
EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
This XK120 DHC (Drophead Coupe) is finished in the sophisticated shade of Midnight Blue with a dark blue convertible roof, over a burgundy leather-trimmed interior, punctuated by swathes of wood veneer trim.
It rides on a set of 16-inch body-coloured steel wheels with chrome hubcaps, fitted with Michelin X tyres.
Equipment includes a four-spoke steering wheel, push-out front quarter light windows, door card storage pockets, Smiths gauges, and heater and ventilation controls.
This example has been upgraded with a five-speed manual gearbox.
The car comes with a spare wheel, tools, a jack, historical import documents, the restoration documentation, the Jaguar-Daimler certificate of authenticity, and some maintenance invoices.
CONDITION
The seller notes that the front and rear bumpers have been repaired.
Specific notes from the seller include: a full respray and a full interior retrim were carried out as part of the restoration in 2008-2010.
The seller notes there is a minor coolant leak.
The most recent roadworthiness test was conducted in 2021, which is understood to have resulted in a pass with an advisory for the minor coolant leak.
SERVICE HISTORY
The last maintenance was performed in July 2024 at an indicated 3,135 miles, which consisted of compressions tests being carried out.
An extensive ‘nut and bolt’ restoration was carried out between 2008 and 2010.
