Designed by Savonuzzi for Bodyshop Ghia Supersonic ... This is one of only 3 copies made on the basis of the XK120.
It seems that only two still exist, with the third a priori disappeared in Switzerland ...
Four years of exemplary restoration, with the main objective to retain maximum original parts.
This restoration lasted from May 2003 to October 2007, when it was presented at the Geneva Classic Motor Show. Then we had to really make it "riding" to register for the Villa d'Este 2009.
It is estimated that this car still retains 90-95% of its original parts, which is very far from the case of "claret" ...
Originally this car was two-tone blue and gray flag.

For Ghia students the other 120 is 679768 but if there is a third no one seems to know the number. There are also three Ghia 140s 810827 - 814937 - 815404

By great research by Terry McGrath, John Elmgreen (authors of The Jaguar XK120 in the Southern Hemisphere) and help from others this car has been identified as the one purchased by MGM in France and used in the movie "The Last Time I Saw Paris" staring Van Johnson and Eva Gabor. The car was originally Cream/Red and later modified with the Ghia body shown in 1956. The photo of the car in Cream was taken in Monte Carlo during the time of filming the movie. The photo was accompanied by the caption "American actor Van Johnson, who became very popular during the war due to the absence of the established leading men, poses in his Jaguar XK120 parked in a crowded square. (Photo via John Kobal Foundation/Getty Images)." Bearing French registration 1011TT75, it is known to have had registration 8763KA69 at some point.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
