Auction description:
This left hand drive XK 120 Roadster, still equipped with its matching engine no: F 1744-8 and original body F 7055 was shipped to the US importer Hoffman in New York on 28th January 1954 and sold to its first owner in Rockville Maryland therafter, as shown on the Heritage cert. 27431 issued in January 2007.

The now vendor aquired this very original car some 17 years ago in California and imported it to Germany where customs had been paid upon importation. The relevant paperwork is available as well as a copy of the US export papers, showing an indicated mileage in 1990 of 49045 miles.

Since then the car - which was never registered in Germany - formed part of the vendor's collection and was used sparingly but serviced as necessary. Recently a brake overhaul has been done and the car is said to drive ( and brake ) as it should.

This old english white Roadster with red leather interior is in good and largely original condition and looks elegant and sleek with the desirable spats on the rear wheels and has just the touch of patina collectors now are looking for.

With its original matching engine and body panels, this is certainly an opportunity to purchase a genuine LHD XK 120 Roadster in an increasing market for these cars.
