Car found on facebook for sale in San Diego 10/21

Seller's description:
I’ve just got a very cool opportunity to buy one of my dream cars so I’m selling my 1954 XK120 OTS that I found in June in Berkeley, CA. The motor is currently being rebuilt so it is not completely together at the moment but will come fresh to the new owner. This particular example was owned by a young lady from Los Angeles. She purchased it in 1960, had it painted blue and used it in various road rallies throughout Southern California in the 60’s up until 1972 when it broke down (and sat until I pulled it out in June).

Very good paperwork. Solid, dry California car. Matching numbers. Chassis No. 674448

Asking $79k. Open to offers.”

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
