The 1953 Jaguar XK 120 Roadster offered here is a
well-documented example that was meticulously restored for JCNA Concours competition by its previous owner. Upon completion it won 12 “Best Jaguar in Class” awards, and was awarded “Grand National Champion” status by JCNA in 1999.
The Jaguar was then sold to the current owner and has been part of a high quality private collection for the past six years.
It has been maintained to the highest standards, driven very little, and housed in climate-controlled storage during that time.
According to the Jaguar Cars Inc. historical information, the roadster was built on March 18, 1953. Today it retains all original matching numbers drive train components. The car has excelled under the scrutiny of the toughest experts and stands as a historically correct and first rate example of the XK 120 right down to its original tool kit. It would be a welcomed addition to any significant collection.

According to its JDHT Certificate, this XK120 was built in March 1953, and dispatched to the Canadian Jaguar distributor J.L. Cooke, before being sold to D.E. Ness of Ontario, Canada. Originally finished in British Racing Green over tan leather, the Jaguar spent a majority of its earlier years in Canada, as photographs dated 1964 show the Roadster with Canadian plates. A frameoff, photo-documented restoration was later performed in British Columbia, which included a repaint in the car’s current highly attractive colors. Following completion, it achieved a remarkable 99.67 points in JCNA judging in 1999, under the ownership of David and Birgit Roberts of Vancouver.
In 2000, the Jaguar joined the respected collection of Jim and Evelyn Fasnacht of Houston, before making its way to the consignor in early 2007. A regular exercise and detailing schedule has ensured that this XK120 continues to present in show-quality form today. Elegant, sporting, and sophisticated in equal measure, this concours-proven XK120 is ready to thrill its next fortunate owner.
