Ebay item 7/3/07
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-JAGUAR-XK-120-JAGUAR-XK-120-ROADSTER-FOUND-IN-STO ...
Opening bid $12,000 reserve not met, no bids yet 6 days left in auction. Buy it now price $18,500.

Sellers description:
1950 Jaguar xk 120 3 1/2 litre 4 speed Roadster. I found this car less than 6 months ago stored in a Ohio shop under cover. The previous owner told me this car spent most of its life in the country of Brazil. I was told the engine was rebuilt back around 1990, but I cannot verify this. What I liked about this car from the start was it looks straight, and was acid dipped several years ago, although no parts were ever put back on this car except the engine re installed. I have several other projects going on in my life to give this car my attention, so I will sell this car to a lucky bidder.

CONDITION :
* Car # 673088
* Year of car : Title states this is a 1950, although I believe it may according the the serial number be a 1952 ?
* Engine # F1961-8 not sure if this is a matching number car because I never received a ID plate with this car.
* Engine & transmission ; Engine does not presently run. Engine is loose & was told the engine was rebuilt around 1990. I am not sure if the transmission was ever rebuilt.
* Frame : Looks good.
* Body : Looks straight and in primer.
* Title : Ohio title.
* Missing parts : grille, seats , dash, floors, top frame. Any parts you do not see in the pictures, assume they are missing.

The build date for this one is indeed 1952 (October) Appears on an old Jaguar driver Club register as owner Harold H Edens of USA Engine W 6435-8 which is correct for period. The only problem it gives a body number of F 5622 which cannot be correct

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
