Ebay item 6/11/11
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-XK120MC-roadster-Matching-Numbers-LOOK-/280693804 ...
Opening bid $25,000 reserve not met, no bids yet 6 days left in auction. Buy it now price $35,000. 12k miles.

Sellers description:
1952 Jaguar XK 120MC, Matching numbers with heritage certificate, 100% complete. This car was dissembled 1968 and has been dry stored ever since. Now the car is putted together for shipping with engine and transmission in, along with steering and rolling chassis, so it steers and rolls and its easier to ship. According to the best of my knowledge the car doesn't miss anything and almost all the parts are still in great shape. The engine turns freely as it was properly lubricated when dissembled.
There is no rust anywhere besides the rear fenders lower parts which is usual downside of the xk roadsters, the rest is hard and solid. This car is a great opportunity for someone who wants to have extremely rare xk model and it will definitely pay off as the same model in mint condition was selling on ebay over 180K dollars. It has a clear title and it was for sale worldwide.

It looks like I just became the new owner of this long term project. Dismantled since 1968. This is most probably no world record, but more than half a century is a long time. Now its me who need to find a new custodian for this project. :-)

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
