This 1952 Jaguar XK120 roadster is said to have remained with its prior owner in California for approximately three decades before it was acquired by the current owner in 2022. It is powered by a replacement 3.4-liter inline-six that is backed by a four-speed manual transmission, and additional work performed under prior ownership involved a repaint in metallic blue and a refresh of the black interior. Equipment includes a tan soft top, chrome bumpers and bumperettes, chrome 16” wire wheels with knock-off hubs, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. This XK120 roadster is now offered on dealer consignment with service records, a tool roll, a tonneau cover, and a clean California title.
The body was refinished in its current shade of metallic blue under prior ownership. Exterior equipment includes a tan soft top, a split front windshield, chrome front bumpers, front fender lamps, and chrome rear bumperettes.
Chrome 16” wire wheels feature knock-off hubs and are mounted with Avon Radial Turbosteel tires. The car was factory equipped with an independent front suspension with telescopic-type hydraulic shock absorbers as well as semi-elliptical rear leaf springs and Girling hydraulic rear shock absorbers. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drums.
The cabin was refreshed under prior ownership, and the seats are trimmed in black leather. Appointments include a passenger-side grab handle, door map pockets, and a dashboard-mounted rearview mirror.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel has been fitted, and the removed steering wheel will accompany the car. Centrally mounted Smiths instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer, a reverse-sweep 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. A Sunpro temperature gauge is mounted below the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 92k miles. The selling dealer reports that the mileage is not accurate, and total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six was installed under prior ownership. An aluminum radiator is fitted with an electric puller fan, and an Alison ignition coil is installed.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. A stainless-steel exhaust system is installed.
The removed steering wheel, a tonneau cover, side curtains, a tool roll, and service records will accompany the car.
Stamping on the replacement engine the current California title lists the sequence B30078 as the VIN.
