Car offered at:
www.hemmings.com/classifieds/dealer/jaguar/xk_120/1314253.html
Sellers description:
Mileage: 9769 Condition: Good Interior: Red Exterior: Black
Location: Ipswich, Massachusetts, United States
1952 Jaguar XK120 OTS, this is a well preserved beautifully styled car which upon originally delivery was able to achieve speeds of 120mph. The engine bay is a work of art with the 3.4 liter dual overhead camshaft six-cylinder engine.
This Jaguar was originally finished in silver but has since been finished in black lacquer paint. The black exterior finish with the red leather interior exemplifies the true lines and beauty as William Lyons intended.
This XK120 has just had the motor completely rebuilt by a Jaguar specialist as well as all new brakes and new ring gears on the flywheel. The car features period correct Lucus driving lights and Tripod headlights. It is also fitted with spare wheel with tire, correct air pump, jack, grease gun and battery covers.
Although it still has a great shine the black exterior lacquer finish was applied many years ago and is starting to show its age. The red leather interior is in very good condition as well as the chrome, engine bay and underside. This is a very attractive driver's car.
This Jaguar is being offered for $79,900.00

The car had already been restored (in 2000, bills available) when works carried out included a re-spray in black and re-trimming the interior in red leather, while refurbishment undertaken in November 2011 included an engine rebuild by a Jaguar specialist and the installation of a complete new braking system and new starter ring gear.
