Offered on Ebay:

www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XK-OTS-/261578322835

Although 671814 is registered as a 1949 XK120, we believe the build date was actually somewhere in late January or early February of 1952. It is the 1629th lhd steel body OTS car produced out of a total of 6250. It is a very original numbers matching car, and is a surprisingly nice driver. Restored some 15 years ago, the Mist Grey (or possibly Birch Grey) paint shows the expected patina while the red leather interior is in excellent condition. The engine and drive train are magnificent and benefit from a recent major service including a tuneup and valve adjustment. This is a very collectible car, and prices are rising yearly. The car is being sold on a Connecticut State Motor Vehicle Bill of Sale, The car is available for inspection and a test drive in East Hampton, New York. To set up time for an inspection of the Jaguar you can contact Jim, of Georgica Services of East Hampton, at 631-324-7707.

Car to be at auction 4/18
www.worldwide-auctioneers.com/auctions/details.cfm

Auction description:
Lot Number 10
1952 Jaguar XK120 Roadster
The Texas Classic Auction
CHASSIS NO: 671814
• Highly desirable original LHD, US-delivery roadster
• Iconic engineering and styling; outstanding livery
• Numbers-matching as verified by JDHT Certificate
• An early car eligible for many important tours and events around the world
• 2018 tune-up and mechanical inspection
• Includes owner's manual, spare wheel, tool bag and jack

Numbered 671814, this original left-hand drive Open Two-Seater (Roadster) was completed on January 18, 1952 and dispatched to the USA one week later through Hoffman Motor Car Co. of New York to its first owner, one Mr. M. McMahon. As a longtime East Coast-based example, this XK120 would go on to spend much of its lifetime in New England, Connecticut, Florida, and the Hamptons. Presented in visually stunning condition, 671814 continues to benefit handsomely from a complete frame-off restoration at the turn of the 2000s with livery comprising elegant Birch Grey paint over red leather upholstery, complemented by a black soft top, disc-type steel wheels, and sleek rear fender spats. Today, the car remains beautifully presented and correct - the ideal entry for spirited tours, display on the show field, or many other vintage automotive events across the globe. A scheduled tune-up and mechanical inspection was recently performed on 671814 during early 2018, along with a professional concours-level detailing including the installation of a new canvas top for continued immediate enjoyment and driving pleasure. The Jaguar XK120 is a great example of a car that continues to define the sports-car concept and 671814 is certainly no exception, offered complete with an owner's manual, spare wheel, tool bag, roadside jack, and emergency equipment. The corresponding Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust (JDHT) Certificate verifies that this XK120 retains its original matching engine as delivered. A true icon, ready to anchor any proper sports-car collection, this excellent 1952 XK120 Roadster marks an outstanding find as a wonderful example of one of the most desirable and influential postwar sports cars ever produced - bar none.
